Do you love writing but feel there’s room for improvement? Want to become an author but are unsure of the lifestyle, opportunities, and expectations? Then this program is for you!

The Adroit Journal Summer Mentorship Program is a virtual program lasting from mid-June to the end of July, where high school students are partnered up with established authors from around the world like Caroline Crew and Jordan Hamel. Sadly the deadline to sign up for this year’s program has passed, but you can always sign up for next year in February.

You can pursue one of three areas: poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction. This is a completely independent, informal, and relaxed program with casual communication, where you submit works weekly or biweekly for your partner author to provide feedback or clarify any queries you have. This is the perfect program to immerse yourself in the world of literature and improve your writing skills.

The works you produce (which needn't be complete) won’t be published by the program, and if you want to you must do so independently. On the other hand, this program is a great boost for entering your written works into contests. Moreover it looks great on an application for university in the field of literature.

Feel free to visit theadroitjournal.org/about/mentorship/ for more information. After being accepted, you have to pay a $575 fee to participate in the program. Registration generally opens on February 1st and ends on March 1st, so have your application at the ready. Grab your pens and ready, set, go!
